Halloween is this Sunday night, so start out early because trick or treating ends at 8 p.m. in most cities.  Be sure to bring a flashlight, and head out with friends, or parents if you are under 10.  Most importantly, have fun!

Race Day Was An Awesome Day For 

Susan G. Komen & Chesapeake Homes!

It was a Beautiful Morning at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 started out early on the boardwalk at the oceanfront.  We held the honor of having our booth right next to King Neptune.  By 7 a.m. hundreds of of racers and event visitors began to arrive... by 8 a.m. the number swelled into the thousands!

Our race team - CHEST-apeake Homes - was comprised of over 65 employees, vendors and friends of Chesapeake Homes who were all out to help support the cause.  In our booth, we gave away reusable totes and pens to anyone who signed up for a free $100 Gift Card giveaway.  Sharon H. is our lucky gift card winner, and over 1000 people walked away with our totes and pens!

Chesapeake Homes is a dedicated community partner of the Susan G. Komen Tidewater affiliate, so please stop by any one of our communities for breast cancer information.  We are also giving a donation to Susan G.    Chesapeake Homes is a proud community sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Tidewater Race for the Cure.  Tomorrow, Saturday, October 16, we'll be down at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront helping to "build awareness" for the cause and cure of breast cancer.
  Join us at our booth at 31st Street & Atlantic Ave. and receive free Chesapeake Homes' giveaways AND register for a $100 gift certificate to  be given away to some lucky booth visitor.  It's not too late to join the race either - you can come down and register at 7 a.m. and join thousands of others who are coming out to support the Komen Foundation.

Komen office for every home sale during the month of October. You can also find valuable breast cancer information at each of our community sites, and our site managers are donning pink polo shirts on the weekends to help build awareness.
