Thanksgiving is Approaching

Now that we are well into November, it’s probably time to get ready for the biggest meal of the year… Thanksgiving dinner.  Here are a couple of things you should start thinking about now:

• Choose a menu
• Decide if you are ordering a fresh turkey or a frozen one
• Remember that it is best to allow 4-5 days to let the turkey completely thaw
• Start checking your local grocery ads
• Pull out all of those decorations from your attic

The days leading up to Thanksgiving is when you should start kicking it into high gear:

• Start shopping for non-perishables
• Make your pies
• Begin to defrost your turkey
• Chop your vegetables on the day before
• Chill your white wines
• Set the table ahead of time

Check out the Balmoral Home Show!

October is the month we have all been waiting for… when the Balmoral show will finally take place!  For the next two weekends, Chesapeake Homes will be hosting the Balmoral Home Show. One of Chesapeake Homes’ newest and already beloved communities, Balmoral is a hidden gem of Suffolk. With wide-open spaces, residents have the freedom to participate in recreational activities, nearby shopping, and easy access to schools and local libraries.

 During this Balmoral Home Show, each weekend will have its own theme, making it especially unique for all of it’s visitors.  This coming weekend’s theme will be the “Oktoberfestival.” This fun event will include festive mulled cider and munchies.  Chesapeake Homes will be offering specials and surprises for participants of the Home Show, so don’t miss out on this opportunity!  

Next weekend, Oct. 31st – Nov. 3rd, Chesapeake Homes will celebrate our military buyers with a theme of “Red, White & Blue Celebration.”  There will be a particularly special incentive for our military buyers, and hot dogs and snacks for everyone!  Anyone who takes a tour will automatically receive a free gift, so if you enjoy free things and beautiful homes we will see you there! 

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Chesapeake Homes is happy to announce that they have awarded the $1,000 raffle prize to Karoline Ardis!  Karoline claimed her prize last Thursday at our beautiful H2O community which is located right next to the Hampton Coliseum and Peninsula Town Center- perfect for taking in all of nature’s gifts while getting all of the perks of Hampton city life.

For those of you who might have missed out, Chesapeake Homes regularly sponsors Tides Baseball each season, and can be found hosting a table on the concourse – which is where, at one of these homes games, that Karolina registered for our giveaway.  We have been sponsoring the Norfolk Tides for years now, and who doesn’t love a good baseball game?  At their table, Chesapeake Homes gave out some fun baseball stress balls (which everyone needs every once in a while) and held a raffle.

In this raffle, we were offering the opportunity to win $1,000 just by writing down your name.  Karoline was the lucky winner this time, but next time it could be you!
