Hampton Roads Halloween
 |
| Get ready for Trick Or Treating! |
Everyone is excited for the upcoming Halloween weekend. From spidermen to princesses, all of our kids are ready to show off their costumes and devour the candy that they collect. However, the exciting holiday can become less than fun if kids and parents are not careful. We listed some tips below to help you keep your Halloween safe:
· Plan a route in advance
· Make sure you and your little ones are in comfy shoes
· Wear short costumes that will not drag on the ground
· Skip the masks, they can make it harder for kids to breathe
· Only visit the houses that are well-lit
· Check your candy at the end of the night, only keep the ones in wrappers
The Hampton Roads area is full of friendly families. In fact, Virginia Beach was ranked #2 Best City in America for Raising a Family by the Wall Street Journal. What makes this area so family friendly? The communities found here.
Every community built by Chesapeake Homes include some of the following amenities, like sidewalks to avoid thru-traffic, playgrounds made just for kids, clubhouses to encourage neighborhood get-togethers, plus a lot more... just to assure you that you and your family are safe. Each blueprint was made to be family-friendly, and just for you. So come and check these beautiful communities out yourself!

Local Navy Man Finds Happiness In
Chesapeake Homes’ Community
 |
Ben Lowry, Happy with his Cornerstone Purchase
|
|
|
Petty Officer Third Class Benjamin Lowry was in the market to buy a new home. The Navy serviceman, who was recently stationed in Virginia Beach, figured it would be smarter to invest in homeownership than to sink his money into renting. On his wish list? "Once I decided to buy, the most important thing to me was a centralized location somewhere between Norfolk and Virginia Beach," Ben explained. He also wanted something affordable so as not to go outside his monthly housing budget.
One of the first places Ben checked out was Cornerstone, a Chesapeake Homes' community located mere minutes from the fun and excitement of Virginia Beach's Town Center, and situated conveniently between Norfolk and Virginia Beach. "In the summer, everyone hangs out at the oceanfront, but in the winter, Town Center is the hot spot," described Ben. "My new home is seconds from the fun, and I really like that!"
For Ben, Cornerstone had just what he was looking for... perfect location, spacious plan in relation to square footage, and an unbeatable price! "I could not believe the amount of space in the model I selected. It's a tremendous value," Ben exclaimed. The Chanel model Ben chose is one of Chesapeake Homes' newest model offerings at Cornerstone. Featuring just over 1700 square feet, The Chanel offers three levels of stylish living with a rear-loading garage and deck. Optional choices allow a buyer to have three or four bedrooms and 2.5 to 3.5 baths depending upon how a buyer selects to customize their home.

Ben's not sure what lies ahead for his military career, but one thing is for certain, wherever he ends up, he knows he made the right decision to invest in buying at Cornerstone!
Be sure to ask our sales managers about our added Military Appreciation Bonus, just for our service men and women, as a special thank you for all you do for our country!
