Red White & Blue
The Chesapeake Homes Balmoral Home Show will be this weekend and we will be ringing it in with a Red White & Blue Celebration Theme! We value our military and everything that they do for us on a daily basis, and wanted to show our appreciation.
The Tidewater Builders Association also has incorporated a Military theme at Homearama. Homearama builders Jimmy Richardson and Edward Hewitt wanted to pay tribute to all of those men and women serving in our military, by giving them a buy one, get one free admission ticket by showing a valid military ID.
Chesapeake Homes will be providing hot dogs, sodas and an assortment of snacks this weekend along with a special incentive for all of our military buyers. We will also be giving out a free gift for all of those who take a tour of our homes at Balmoral. We provide many different promotions for our military buyers to show just how much they mean to us. In addition to the special incentive during this weekend, we offer a free appliance with the purchase of a home.
We encourage all of our troops out there to come see our affordable and luxurious homes at Balmoral. The community is located right at the entrance of Homearama, you can’t miss it!

Get ready for Trick Or Treating! |
Everyone is excited for the upcoming Halloween weekend. From spidermen to princesses, all of our kids are ready to show off their costumes and devour the candy that they collect. However, the exciting holiday can become less than fun if kids and parents are not careful. We listed some tips below to help you keep your Halloween safe:
· Plan a route in advance
· Make sure you and your little ones are in comfy shoes
· Wear short costumes that will not drag on the ground
· Skip the masks, they can make it harder for kids to breathe
· Only visit the houses that are well-lit
· Check your candy at the end of the night, only keep the ones in wrappers
The Hampton Roads area is full of friendly families. In fact, Virginia Beach was ranked #2 Best City in America for Raising a Family by the Wall Street Journal. What makes this area so family friendly? The communities found here.
Every community built by Chesapeake Homes include some of the following amenities, like sidewalks to avoid thru-traffic, playgrounds made just for kids, clubhouses to encourage neighborhood get-togethers, plus a lot more... just to assure you that you and your family are safe. Each blueprint was made to be family-friendly, and just for you. So come and check these beautiful communities out yourself!

Race For the Cure With Us! |
This weekend on Saturday, Chesapeake Homes
will be running like the wind in the annual Race for the Cure®. We have been a major
supporter of the Susan G. Komen Tidewater Affiliate for years, and always plan
to be. Make sure to keep an eye out for
our team, Chest-A-Peake Homes, we will be walking, jogging and running to raise
awareness for breast cancer.
Our area has a
higher instance rate of breast cancer, and the local affiliate awards grants
that help keep a large percentage of the funds raised here in our area, where
the people who need help, can get it.
Come out to the race and receive a free Komen tote bag from us! You will also have the chance to register for
a $100 Visa gift card to spend on whatever your heart desires.
To make this
year’s race even more fun, there will be a special theme… tutus! From little
girls to dads, all participants will be showing off their tutus while they
run. Join us this weekend in making this
year’s race awesome, and run for all of the people affected by breast cancer!

Parade of Our
Homes
Clear your calendars for the
next three weekends of October (4th-5th, 10th-12th
and 17th-19th). Starting
this weekend from 12-5, the Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties will be
presenting their Parade of Homes! During
the same three weekends Wake County will be hosting their 49th
Annual Parade of Homes. That means
double the fun. Chesapeake Homes will
have homes participating in both parades so make sure to make it out to at
least one of these opportunities.
The Parade of Homes is the
time of year when builders open their newest and most stunning homes for the
public to view the latest floorplan layouts, architectural features and
interior designs of 2014. Whether you
are planning on buying, building or just admiring a home, both of these parades
will be events you won’t want to miss.
Chesapeake Homes will be
featuring seven beautiful homes in both parades, and they will be the talk of
the event. One of our Traditions homes in the Wake
County Parade alone will be showing
3,186 square feet of household
magnificence. In addition to that, in
the Durham County Parade of Homes, we will be presenting one of our most
popular homes, our Rustica Oaks model.
These builders, suppliers
and sub-contractors have created art through these homes and are proud to
exhibit them. Each home represents countless hours of care, thought and
labor. Over these two weekends you will
have the chance to see these homes and truly be inspired. Admission to the Parade of Homes is free so
the only thing you’ll have to worry about is how to get there! To see our 2014 Parade models click here!
